Stocks for the basic beer making

By eyeswide, May 7, 2010

It is always good if your fridge is filled with beer if there is a surprise party arranged at your home or you get to watch an exciting program on TV. Beer doesn’t makes you too drunk but only slightly. But make sure that you don’t take too much.

Some people are so obsessed with beer that they have made beer brewing a hobby. And that’s what is highly demotivated but for normal use or for occasions there is a great tip for you and guess what you can brew the beer by own at home? You can even change the taste of beer by adding different ingredients to it. With this method you can choose the amount of any ingredient according to your taste for example if you want to have more alcohol then you can add it or if you are weight conscious then you can reduce the amount of calories in your beer.

If you never tried earlier to make the beer, then here you have a chance to learn about its ingredients and method of making it. First of all, the obvious ingredient is malt. They are usually available in tin cans or glass bottles. The other important component that is required is the brewing kettle; it is used to make up wort. One important question is what the size should be of the kettle. The size should be enough to store the two times of beer you plan to consume. It will be revealed to you once you learn it by experience rather than being told. Fermenter is the next main thing that is needed. After you finish making the wort on the brewing kettle, you then transfer all of it to the fermenter. The Fermenter is applied for the purpose to temporarily store the wort and in the mean while yeast is applied for rest of the work. It has normally has two forms of which one is composed from plastic and other from stainless steel. The question here comes that which one to choose so in my opinion the ones with stainless material are better to use as in case of plastic ones the smell gets stick and makes it intolerable. With the stainless steel material, the smell doesn’t stick and this is what is used in commercial factories. So it only makes sense that you do the same.

These components that I have mentioned above were only the basic ones used in the making of beer. As you will study more and try the beer brewing you will become more expert. Good Luck!
